CSSSJ Private Tour:
UC Davis Botanical Conservatory


Our annual May field trip will be to the UC Davis Botanical Conservatory for a tour showcasing a diverse collection of plants, including rare cactus, succulents, carnivorous species, and tropical varieties, and rare succulents. The conservatory has been in operation for 66 years. The conservatory is noted for a collection of Welwitschia mirabilis, known as the living fossil, among many other prize plant specimens. 

Location:
1 Shields Avenue, Kleiber Hall Dr, Davis, CA
A 90 minute drive north of San Jose

Time:
The tour will start promptly at 11 AM, Sunday May 4th, 2025. Please check traffic and arrive early to avoid missing the tour. 

Additional Details:
Tour is limited to CSSSJ Members. CSSSJ will cover tour ticket costs for members.  We are happy to arrange carpooling. If anyone needs a ride or can provide a ride, email board@csssj.org and we will help organize carpooling. We will also make a carpooling post on our Facebook social group
