Field Trip to the Moran Nursery Saturday, May 11th, 9 am to 11:30 am.
Moran Nursery is located 50 minutes south of San Jose (without traffic). There is no cellular service around the nursery, set your GPS ahead of time. Parking is limited at the nursery, but there is street parking nearby. If you need a ride or can offer a ride, please email membership@csssj.org and we will try to match folks up. The CSSSJ typically plans a field trip for the May meeting. This year we have a special field trip to visit Moran Nursery in Watsonville. This is a large succulent and cactus wholesale nursery that is not open to the public. The sprawling greenhouses are well organized with a variety of beautiful and well grown plants. An overview of the nursery will be presented during the beginning of the field trip. Then club members will have an opportunity to explore and shop at the nursery. This field trip is limited to CSSSJ members. There is a 10% discount for cash payment, which is recommended. They also accept credit and debit as well. The greenhouses can be very hot; you may want to plan on bringing some water with you.
